Step 1: Make the juice
The first thing to do to prepare a melon fruit salad is to make the juice to marinate the fruit salad. To do this, you must mix the water with the brown sugar and put the mixture on the heat until it starts to boil. Then, cool the resulting syrup until it reaches room temperature.
Step 2: Cut the fruit
Once the syrup is at room temperature, it's time to prepare the fruit for the fruit salad. First, cut the melons and place the flesh on a plate. Next, peel the lemons and cut them into slices. Finally, you can add the fresh mint for extra flavour.
Step 3: Add the lemon juice
When you have finished slicing and preparing the fruit, you should squeeze the lemons to get the lemon juice. After this, you should sprinkle the lemon juice all over the fruit to marinate it with the lemon flavour.
Step 4: Assemble the fruit salad
Once you have finished marinating the fruit with the lemon juice, it is time to assemble the fruit salad. First, place the fruit in an even layer in a bowl. Then, drizzle the fruit with the syrup from step 1. Finally, put the fruit salad in the fridge for at least 20 minutes to cool it thoroughly.

1 Cantaloup melon
1 Piel de Sapo melon (medium)
2 lemons
300 millilitres of water
300 grams of brown sugar
A sprig of fresh mint
